Four powerlifting players killed, two injured in Delhi car accident in possible drunken driving

Four powerlifting players were killed and two others were injured in Delhi road accident because of fog at Sindhu border.

This unfortunate incident took place at around 3 AM on Sunday. Police suspect it as an accident of drunken driving as police recovered some bottles in the car and also the car was going with very high speed.

The six powerlifting players were rushed to Raja Harishchandar Hospital in Narela and four of them were declared brought dead by the doctors and two others are in critical condition.

The deceased players were identified as Tikamchand, Saurabh, Yogesh and Harish Roy who were all residents of Timarpur. While the injured players are identified as Saksham Yadav and Rohit.

Sakhsham is a national level player who had won a world title in Moscow last year in powerlifting. He has been shifted to Max Hospital and Rohit is admitted in Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital.

Police are investigating the case.
