Kerala politician dies after falling out of moving car in Sharjah

An Indian politician died in an accident after falling out of a moving car on Dhaid Road in Sharjah as reported in Kahleej Times.

The deceased identified as Sunitha Prashanth aged 40 hailing from Kerala died on the spot after her head hit on a lamp post.

Sunitha belonging to Kasaragod district’s Adukkath Vayal beach area was working as a beautician in a salon in Sharjah for the last five years.

President of Indian People’s Forum in Sharjah Ganesh Aramanganam said that Sunitha Prashanth was a councilor of the BJP in Kasaragod municipality. She was also a candidate in the Uduma constituency during the 2011 state assembly polls.

Sunitha was living in the same building where the salon was and was staying with her colleagues of the salon of that apartment.

As the pesticide was sprayed in their flat, they were advised to stay away for few hours outside the flat. The salon owner took all the staff on a trip in her car including Sunitha.

As they were travelling on the Dhaid road in Sharjah, the car door opened suddenly and Sunitha fell out of the car and hit her head on a lamp post. She died on the spot in this accident.

All other persons inside the car suffered injuries as the car swerved off the road and hit the divider when the owner of the salon who was driving the car looked back to know what happened. The police detained the salon owner.

Sunitha’s body is presently in the morgue of Dhaid Hospital and will be sent to her hometown after completing the legal formalities.

Sunitha is survived by her husband and two children. She was very active in Kerala politics. She shifted to UAE five years ago due to financial issues after she got a job offer through a friend.
