Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap to marry Aishwarya Rai on May 19 and the marriage rituals has kick-started in Patna with the mehendi ceremony held on Wednesday night.

Tej Pratap, aged 30 years is a sitting Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) lawmaker and Aishwarya Rai is a Delhi University graduate, daughter of Chandrika Rai who is a six-time RJD legislator and former cabinet colleague of Lalu Yadav.

Tej Pratap and Aishwarya Rai marriage venue is Patna’s Veterinary College grounds, the same place which was chosen by Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi for his son’s marriage after he got threats from Tej Pratap.

RJD supremo and former Bihar Chief Minister is under 14-year sentence after being convicted in many fodder scam cases and got a five-day parole for his son’ Tej Pratap’s wedding with Aishwarya Rai.

Lalu Yadav was discharged from AIIMS in New Delhi a week ago and was again sent back to a hospital in Ranchi. A six doctor team who were treating him at AIIMS said that his condition has improved and was fit to travel.

Tej Pratap Yadav and Aishwarya Rai engament took place on April 19 at a five-star hotel in Patna. It was the first big family event which was not attended by Lalu Yadav. Tej Pratap and his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav both tweeted about missing his father on the engagement day.
