Little Rock nightclub shooting incident : Over 25 wounded in Saturday gang war

A Little Rock nightclub shooting incident on the early hours of Saturday saw 28 people injured in the US state of Arkansas in what was a non-terror attack.

The Arkansas nightclub shooting took place at about 2:30 AM at the Power Ultra Lounge and all the injured are expected to survive according to the Little Rock Police.

Victims were all young between 16 and 35 and had come to attend a concert. The nightclub shooting in Little Rock was due to a dispute between rival gangs with terrorism completely ruled out.

Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson expressed concerns over the growing crime problems in the state capital while issuing a statement on the Little Rock nightclub shooting incident.

Hutchinson stated: “Little Rock’s crime problem appears to be intensifying. Every few days it seems a high profile shooting dominates the news, culminating with this morning’s event.

“ I have spoken this morning with Mayor Stodola and I have offered both my heart felt concern over this senseless violent tragedy and state assets as needed to address the continued threat of violence in our community.

The Arkansas Governor added while authorities are still collecting facts regarding the Little Rock nightclub shooting incident, the state has to come up with a comprehensive enforcement strategy to eliminate the violent threats off the roads. He also said that the government will participate and bring assets to the table to back efforts to enforce local laws.

Following the Arkansas nightclub shooting incident, authorities have decided to shut down the Power Ultra Lounge.
