Shatrughan Sinha has something special to say about Jolly LLB 2 actress Huma Qureshi

Actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha has showered praise on the entire cast of the latest courtroom drama film ‘Jolly LLB 2’. The 71-year-old actor, who is also a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha member had something specific to say about Huma Qureshi.

“‘Jolly LLB’ – Huma Qureshi has a bright future. Sound effects, music and direction by Subhash Kapoor had scope for improvement,” Shatrughan said in a tweet on Monday.

He went on term the movie as “highly appreciated, well meaning, hard-hitting, thought provoking and timely presentation to the nation (during election time), Jolly LLB.”

Shatrughan Sinha, better known as Shotgun, also tweeted that the performances by veteran actors Saurabh Shukla and Annu Kapoor were highly laudable. “Kudos to and god bless my dear Akshay Kumar, for this almost great work, Jolly LLB. Award winning performance from Saurabh Shukla and Annu Kapoor,” he said in another tweet.

The only sore point for Shatrughan Sinha was the film’s music. He also felt that the direction could have been better.

Produced by Fox Star Studios, the movie is directed by Subhash Kapoor. The film is a sequel to the 2013 film ‘Jolly LLB’, and stars Akshay Kumar as lawyer Jagdishwar Mishra aka Jolly from Kanpur who practices law in Lucknow.

Released on February 10, the film has received critical acclaim as well as box office success, continuing Akshay’s dream run at the movies. Jolly LLB 2 box office collections have been close to Rs 50 crore in three days – Rs 13 crore on day one, followed by 17 cr on day two and around 19 cr on day three.

The film is said to be picking up pace with word-of-mouth publicity. The situation was not as rosy for all those associated with the film a week back as the court orders cuts in what it found to be controversial scenes. At the end though, all seems to be Jolly for Akshay Kumar and co.
