Bodies of the victims, Sasikala Narra and Anish Sai finally reached Timmarajupalem in Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh state where the last rites were performed by Narra Hanumantha Rao’s family.

According to a news report on the Sasikala Narra murder case on the The New Indian Express, the bodies were kept for sometime near Manipal Hospitals at Varadhi on Vijayawada outskirts. This was to allow Narra Sasikala’s parents Sunkara Venkateswara Rao and Krishna Kumari to get one last look at their murdered daughter and grandson.

Deccan Chronicle has reported that Krishna Kumari fainted at seeing the bodies at the Durga Ghat and had to be hospitalized. None of the family members of Narra Sasikala had attended the funeral held at Narra Hanumantha Rao’s native place Timmarajupalem.

Narra Sasikala Murder Case Updates

It took a long time for the ill-fated parents to finally see the body of their daughter and grandson as delay was caused in the US due to the family dispute and Narra Hanumantha Rao’s intentions to perform the last rites there itself. However, the publication has reported that it was a change of mind in Narra Hanumantha Rao that the bodies were sent to India.

Narra Hanumantha Rao’s father Narra Subba Rao performed the final rites, cremating Narra Sasikala while 7-year-old Anish Sai was buried.

The mother and son were brutally murdered in their Maple Shade apartment on March 23. Narra Sasikala’s parents alleged that their son-in-law had murdered them but Narra Hanumantha Rao had a strong alibi that he was at his office at the time of the incident. However, the latest developments suggest that the police have tightened the screws on him which was why he could not visit India to perform the last rites.

Following the alibi presented by Narra Hanumantha Rao, the Narra Sasikala murder mystery only deepened and so far not a single arrest was made. The husband was detained and was let off after hours of questioning. His passport was sealed but was returned later. Although, it was initially reported that there were no travel restrictions on Narra Hanumantha Rao, the latest development of not allowing him to leave the US comes as a big blow against him in his wife Sasikala Narra murder case.

Narra Hanumantha Rao has been suspected to have planned out or carried out the murders as per his in-laws who alleged that he was having an affair with a colleague besides harassing their daughter for several years.
